Dr. Julie Sale
Academic Dean
Having spent her entire professional career in the field of education, it would not be a stretch to say that Dr. Sale is very passionate about what she does. For her, it has been such a blessing to be able to teach in all levels of education from kindergarten through the collegiate level. Working with such diverse age ranges, she strives to bring out the very best in everyone she serves by meeting individuals exactly where they are along their life and learning continuum. Her educational background includes a robust blend of both Education and Psychology. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Education and in Psychology from the University of Washington. Her Master of Arts was earned from the University of Colorado where she studied Educational Psychology. Most recently, Dr. Sale completed her PhD in Psychology with a focus on Cognition and Instruction and Brain Research from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. She believes that her training and experiences have been an invaluable support in peeling back the layers of learning for all students, both children and adults. Further, she is driven by two important theories: First, while all students may not learn the way we teach, we must, instead, teach the way they learn. Second, people will not remember you for what you say, they will remember you for how you make them feel. She looks forward to serving and walking alongside you in your journey here at Colorado Early Colleges.
