At Colorado Early Colleges, students have access to a wide variety of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs designed to prepare them for both college and today’s most in-demand careers. These programs combine hands-on learning, real-world projects, and industry partnerships to help students discover their passions and build valuable career skills, all while earning high school and college credit. From technology and engineering to healthcare and the trades, CEC students can explore their interests, earn certifications, and gain real experience that sets them up for success after graduation. Here’s a look at some of the options around our network. Please note that offerings vary by school, so join an upcoming informational meeting or contact us for more information:
Aviation:
Students in the aviation pathway learn the basics of drone technology and flight operations. Through classes and clubs, they gain hands-on experience flying drones and exploring career possibilities in aviation and unmanned aerial systems.
Computer Science & Information Technology:
CEC is leading the way in tech education and was the first of our campuses to introduce an AI-based app development course. Students delve into programming, cybersecurity, and software tools through project-based learning, earning industry-recognized credentials. This pathway is one of our most advanced and fastest-growing areas.

Engineering:
The engineering pathway enables students to gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling, robotics, and design. Our award-winning VEX Robotics team has earned recognition at both the state and national levels, giving students opportunities to apply their creativity and problem-solving skills in exciting competitions.
Multimedia:
The multimedia pathway blends creativity and technology, giving students experience in video production, graphic design, and digital storytelling. Using professional-grade tools, they learn both artistic and technical skills to prepare for careers in media, marketing, or digital content creation.
Health Science
The general health science pathway prepares students to pursue post-secondary education and careers in the health and medical fields. Students will build a foundation in healthcare ethics, professionalism, systems, terminology, technology and patient care. Students can earn stackable certifications in healthcare standards as well as CPR and First-Aid.
Business:
Our business program introduces students to entrepreneurship, marketing, and communication through interactive coursework and simulations. A highlight of the program is the Stukent simulated internship, which gives students a taste of real-world business operations. Along the way, they build skills in leadership, digital marketing, and strategic thinking.

Automotive:
The automotive pathway gives students a solid foundation in mechanical repair, from small engine maintenance to basic automotive systems. This program provides practical, hands-on experience for those interested in careers in automotive technology and related trades.
Construction:
Students in the construction program gain hands-on experience in carpentry and building. One unique part of this pathway is the opportunity to design and build sheds—projects that are sold to help fund the program. This approach teaches students valuable trade skills, teamwork, and project management while preparing them for future apprenticeships or continued education.

Through these offerings, CEC students gain real-world experience in the classroom, setting them up ahead of other students upon graduating high school. To learn more about the CEC campus closest to you, browse ‘Our Schools’ page.
