CEC Fort Collins hosts VEX Robotics Competition; CEC schools around the state compete

A large crowd of spectators are gathered to watch the VEX Robotics Competition at CEC Fort Collins.

CEC Fort Collins High School hosted a VEX Robotics Competition with 39 teams from around the Colorado region, including CEC Colorado Springs and CEC Windsor, this past weekend. CEC Fort Collins had eight teams representing our program at this tournament, and teams 99751E (Electrical Fire) and 99751X (Leverage) took home the Championship trophy after an all-day tournament! They are the third sister team duo over the last three years to win our final regulation season tournament.

99751X team also won the Judges Award to make a total of three awards collected by CECFC. They will be bringing four teams to the VEX Regional Championships of Colorado on March 15th.

CEC Colorado Springs and CEC Windsor robotics teams also competed, representing CEC robotics from both northern and southern Colorado CEC campuses. Student participation in robotics programs places them in direct contact with skills like coding, engineering, and the scientific method in a fun and engaging way. Tournaments like this are a great chance to see what they’ve learned in action.

We are so very proud of our entire program. Our program relies only off sponsors and donations. Please consider donating to our program as all proceeds will be used to buy materials, registrations, and provide other growth opportunities for these amazing students:
