CEC FC HS Robotics Shines at Local Tournament

CEC Fort Collins’ robotics program competed with six teams at a 40‑team tournament hosted at Roosevelt High School in Johnstown on Saturday, January 10. Throughout six challenging qualifying matches, every team demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving as they worked to secure their rankings.

Thanks to their strong performances, four of our teams advanced to the alliance selection for the final elimination rounds. Our three newer teams earned solid placements at 32nd, 30th, and 25th, while our more experienced teams achieved impressive finishes at 11th, 8th, and 2nd.

While most of our teams were eventually knocked out during bracket play, one team—99751X, Leverage—continued an outstanding run. Teamed up with Collision from Silver Creek, they battled through the final rounds in a nail‑biting finish. Their determination paid off: the alliance emerged victorious, earning the title of Tournament Champions.

Team 99751X – Leverage is made up of:

  • Hudson G.
  • Ty W.
  • Tristen A.
  • Jerry K. (unpictured)

This group showcased extraordinary sportsmanship, dedication, and focus, qualities that propelled them to the championship title. Their win has officially qualified them for the State Robotics Tournament on March 6–7.

Our students’ hard work and growth were evident throughout the event, and we’re excited to see what they accomplish next. Congratulations, Team Leverage, and great job to every competitor who represented our school with excellence!
