Charter School Institute

The Colorado Charter School Institute (CSI) is a statewide charter school authorizer. Their mission is to foster high-quality public school options for all students. They oversee schools across Colorado, from Fruita to Aurora, Durango to Steamboat Springs.

CSI believes that every child should have access to high-performing school choices. Accordingly, they seek to foster a portfolio of high-quality charter public school options that offer diverse educational models to meet the needs of every child.

Their approach to authorizing balances autonomy and accountability. As such, they offer their schools flexibility to choose the methods to best meet the needs of their students. In return, they hold schools accountable to clear expectations for performance.

CEC opened our first Early College High School in Colorado Springs through their authorization in 2007.
