Course Completion
Colorado Early Colleges (CEC) sets very high expectations in academic achievement, character, kindness, respect, service, leadership, and overall ethical conduct, to which all students and staff are held accountable.
All CEC instructional staff strive to ensure that each student’s grade accurately reflects the skills and content knowledge of that student, enabling each student to be successful in the subsequent academic course or next step.
Successful course completion requires a student to achieve a grade of at least 70 percent.
- A – 90% and above: Earned by work of excellent quality that indicates a full mastery of the subject and is of extraordinary distinction.
- B – 80% – 89%: Earned by work indicating a strong comprehension of the course material, a good command of the skills needed to work with the course material, and the student’s full engagement with the course requirements and activities.
- C – 70% – 79%: Earned by work indicating an adequate and satisfactory comprehension of the course material and the skills needed to work with the course material, and indicates the student has met the basic requirements for completing assigned work and participating in class activities.
