CEC Fort Collins Students Shine at CSU Math Day

On Thursday, November 13, twenty-six math students, from College Algebra through Calculus II, came together for CSU’s annual Math Day, an event dedicated to showcasing talent, fostering collaboration, and celebrating a shared love of mathematics.

The day featured a lively Quiz Bowl, where three teams competed head-to-head in a fast-paced test of knowledge and critical thinking. Meanwhile, eight students presented their research and creative problem-solving in the poster contest, impressing attendees with their innovative approaches and dedication.

Beyond the competition, Math Day provided an opportunity for students to sharpen their analytical skills, connect with peers, and experience the excitement of applying math in new and challenging ways. It was truly an inspiring day for everyone involved!

For the second year in a row, Mina Han earned first place in the Math Day poster contest. Congratulations, Mina! Your success is well-deserved.

A special thank-you goes to Mr. Fitts for his valuable contribution to Mina’s project. Your guidance and support made a meaningful impact.
