Why CEC Castle Rock?
I have had the pleasure of working in education since 2001 serving students, families, and communities as a classroom teacher, college professor, reading specialist, academic advisor, academic dean, and now, as the head of school for CEC Castle Rock. I have found a home here because I believe in the CEC Early College Model and see value in families having a choice about which educational program will develop life-long learning and success for their children. I am deeply invested in leading a school that lives out this educational philosophy: “Meet students where theyare and take them where they want to be.” For me, this means ensuring every student can thrive ina competency-based educational system with specific goals that allow for versatility and optimal growth in academics, character, and life-long learning.
I love my job because I get to be a part of impacting young lives in formative high school years that sets students on a positive trajectory beyond graduation in their college choices, career aspirations, and personal lives. When a student finds a purpose and passion within the walls of CECCR, that spark is infectious, and it provides energy and excitement into my workday.

Why does your gift matter?
We believe every student can succeed, especially with YOUR support! Did you know that CEC is Colorado’s largest public charter school network? Which means we receive state funds, but it’s not enough to support all the things we’d like to do for our students. During this season of giving, we invite you to make a gift to CEC Castle Rock.
