Inside Potluck: A Fresh Look at CECDCN’s Student Magazine

At Colorado Early Colleges Douglas County North, creativity isn’t just encouraged, it’s published. Potluck, our student-managed digital magazine, is back with its newest issue, and it’s a vibrant showcase of the talent, passion, and curiosity that define our school community.

Led by Founder and Editor-in-Chief Nicholas Ziegler and supported by a dedicated team of writers, artists, photographers, and advisors, Potluck brings together thoughtful interviews, bold opinions, pop-culture deep dives, creative writing, and unexpected stories from across campus. Each issue is a true “potluck” of student expression—rooted in the belief that if something matters to a student, it matters enough to be shared.

This latest edition features everything from personal essays and cultural commentary to teacher spotlights, movie analysis, and even an ode to the superiority of short-pile rugs. The diversity of content reflects the magazine’s core mission: empowering students to speak, create, and contribute to something bigger than themselves.

Best of all, Potluck is open to all CECDC North students and staff who want to submit their work. Whether you’re a writer, artist, photographer, designer, or someone with a story worth telling.

Take a moment to explore the September 2025 issue, celebrate the incredible work of our student creators! The table is set, join the Potluck.
