The application for the Daniels Scholarship Program will open on September 15 with a deadline of October 15. Scholarship overview: https://www.danielsfund.org/scholarships/daniels-scholarship-program/overview Each year, recipients receive up to $100,000 to be applied at any two- or four-year, nonprofit, accredited college or university in the United States, depending on financial need. New for this year! To be respectful of students’ and recommenders’ time, the application has been split into two phases this year: Phase 1: September 15 – October 15– Students share how they spend their time, volunteer experience, academic information, employment information, and answer multiple-choice questions. After this phase, we will notify students whether or not they are moving forward to the Semi-Finalist phase. Phase 2: Semi-Finalist October 24 – November 15 – Semi-Finalists write essay questions and provide a recommendation and social media information. To be eligible for the Daniels Scholarship Program, students must: -Be a senior graduating from a high school in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming -Be a resident of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming -Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States -Earn a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in high school (on an unweighted 4.0 scale) -Earn a minimum SAT Math score of 490, a minimum Evidence-Based Reading & Writing score of 490, or a minimum ACT score of 18 in each category. Super scoring is not accepted. -Meet financial eligibility requirements. The applicant’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must have an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $85,000 or less on the 2021 tax return on which the applicant is claimed as a dependent.
