What is your educational background?
“I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Life Science with a pre-medical designation. I started my career path in the dermatology field as a Histotechnician. After 2 years I decided to take a step in a different direction; which has lead me to being an Academic and Career Path Advisor!”
What is your favorite class project at CEC?
“I was fortunate enough to be a part of the science department’s Environmental Conservation course which included taking a lot of field trips. My favorite field trip was to Bear Creek Nature Center where the students were able to learn about ecosystems. We learned about soil, water, air, bees, fish, trees and many other living creatures along with their environment.
What are your hobbies outside of work/school?
“Music & festivals, camping, road trips, hiking, fishing, travelling, eating good food, art of all sorts.”
What does the CEC mission mean to you?
“I believe the CEC mission means that regardless of the challenges our students have had to overcome throughout their lives, they will have the power to succeed in life at a mastery level when they choose to obtain their education through CEC.”
