CEC wins at the State Latin Convention! The 66th annual Latin State Convention hosted students from all over Colorado, western Nebraska, and Wyoming. At the Convention, students competed in academic tests, Olympika (sports), graphic arts and handicrafts, performing arts, catapult (engineering and building utilizing ancient methods and materials), and CertAmen.
The CEC students were terrific! For overall total scores, CEC took 1st, 5th, and 12th. CEC students swept Performing Arts, taking first place in all their events (skit, Latin Oratory, Dramatic Interpretation, and English Oratory). Our CEC team won Lower Level (Latin 1-2) CertAmen (capstone Convention event). CEC also won the Preconvention Sprit Trophy, and CEC students were elected to state office for 2022-2023 as Parliamentarian, State Machinator, and State Treasurer.
