Justice-Engaged Student Resources
Justice-engaged students have the right to educational access, support, and opportunities to successfully engage in school while involved in the juvenile or criminal justice system. Services and resources available through our school may include:
- Enrollment and re-enrollment support
- Attendance and educational stability supports
- Credit transfer and graduation planning assistance
- Alternative education options, when appropriate
- Re-entry planning following detention, commitment, or other justice-system involvement
- Access to special education and Section 504 accommodations
- Participation in school activities, athletics, and career pathway opportunities, as appropriate
- Referrals to school and community-based support services
These supports are intended to promote educational success and ensure students have access to a safe, supportive learning environment.
The designated point of contact for each CEC campus is available to assist justice-engaged students and families with accessing educational services, school supports, resources, and transition planning.
